Currently bouncing between Lisbon and London, Ash’s raw coastal sound and open-hearted nature is sculpted from time living in New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Ibiza and growing up partly in Jersey, Channel Islands. Ash recently moved to Portugal where he’s started a long term project of building a creative sanctuary for friends and collaborators in a quiet valley on the south west coast.

Upcoming EP

Ash’s upcoming EP ‘Terra Santa’, is a fresh soul-edged hit of 70’s-influenced rock, folk & alt pop. Recorded live in Prague, with Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley) on drums and Rob Calder (Passenger) on bass. Ash Radford and producer Rohin Brown (Dope Lemon/The Walking Who) spent weeks experimenting with a trove of vintage analogue gear, from creating Morse code through a modified New Orleans 1960’s organ to singing in the underground hallways of the haunted studio.

Ash on the 1st single ‘Dance With Me’: “I wrote the first version of Dance With Me while recording demos in a sauna in the New Forest UK. I’d fired up my voice with a whiskey while warming up when the riff, verses and pre chorus came through out of nowhere. It felt like a call for a lover from a deep place of loneliness. Later adventures with my muse Manouk found their way into the song, and the chorus line “I don’t fear your shadow, is that clear”, was directed at her, that she didn’t have to walk her healing journey alone. The song also feels like a call to dance it out with all your love, all your shadows, into the present moment”

‘Dance with Me’ comes out on 3 June 2022 on all major platforms. Pre-save now!

Caitlin on ‘Jealousy’

I wrote this song about the darkest parts of myself that I’ve been afraid for so long to admit exist. From the irrational fear of losing something or someone, to the pain of watching it happen, despite the fact it’s all an illusion. It’s about the all-consuming nature of those feelings and the desire to escape from them, even if it means losing the thing you love.
